Hi everyone!

Nocturnal Adventure Continued

After I wrapped up most of the VFX animations and environment concepts, I continued to work a lot on the lewd animation sequence for the upcoming bat enemy.

For obvious reasons, I can't share the progress, but here's a picture of a totally stealthy Sam Screecher. (And No! This is not her real design. It's just something I did for fun. :P).

"There's Only One Man Who Would DARE Give Me The Raspberry!"

Another new game element we want to introduce are these jamming devices that will disrupt Kincaid's map! If you're in an affected area, you will not be able to use your map until you have found and destroyed this device.

What the hell? Who put these here!?

Taint Barriers

To make things like enemy ambushes, where the player is suddenly locked in a room with waves of spawning enemies, we needed a visual effect for the barriers that lock the player in:

Some other ideas I tried out and decided against. The wavey one looked too calm and stable, and the tentacle looked more like a hazard that would reach out to you.

honestly the idea of Hazards, like energy tentacles seems like a fun idea to add to make the platforming require even tighter jumps, unless you wanted to get grabbed ^^
