Ancient Tech Training

Reydam made good progress on the CG set that is going to come with this build. It is the first set that is going to feature multiple angles and shots and we're really excited about it!

Writing Writing Writing

A good chunk of time is also spent on the writing for the scene. The scene is going to be tied to an NPC we had planned for the next planet. Because we didn't just want to write into a vacuum and then try to make it fit later, we spent some time designing the character and his situation, the little bit of world building we needed for it, and the interaction leading up to this scene.

In the demo build it will be a bit different still, but we don't want to do a bunch of rework again when the time comes to put him in his place!

Water Surface Idle

Continued to pick away at my backlog of missing player animations.

Roly Poly Attack

We didn't like how the "Big Red" would just speed up and walk fast towards Kincaid to hurt her. It didn't really feel like an attack. So I modified his attack animation and he's now turning into a spikey ball. I like this much better!

Tainted Enemy Variations

As corruption spreads in the world, the inhabitants become influenced by it more and more. If you remember the big kobold boss that was in the demo and hasn't been reintegrated yet, that was one of such cases.

I started working on some designs for enemy variations.

I don't want the corruption to be very monstrous, at least in the first part of the game, so I am keeping it in line with the kobold boss fight.

Adventurer’s Guild Council

Another NPC we made for the guild that Kincaid works for! Our small cast of main characters is almost complete!

When we wrote the story we were scared we bit off more than we can chew, but we’re going to give our best to put it all together.

Caves Background

I also did some tiny tweaks on the cave background I made last time. There were too many details that pulled the eyes away from the foreground.

Upcoming Build Status Update

We're now moving into the final stretch of this dev cycle. Almost all the big content pieces are now almost finished and we're busy polishing and fixing bugs and pulling everything together.

Get Ready for a new Easter Colorbold Hunt!

Some of you might remember from the early days of the game. A bunch of strangely colored kobolds hid in the jungle!

Well guess what, it happened again! I don't know how, but a bunch of them have returned and are hiding all over the place.

And we're gonna need your help finding them!

If you can help us find all of them, we're going to reward the bravest and best adventurers!
