Hi everyone!

Caves, Mines & Cisterns Environment Art

While working on the levels we realized that the current art for our caves (and later, mines) aren't quite there yet. The art is good for small caves that are close to the surface, but we also want some deeper tunnels and cave systems as we had in our old version.

Later on we envision the player to be able to take two paths into the Temple of Trials - One through the main door and one coming in through old, long forgotten tunnels.

In order to capture that vibe, Null and I jammed on a sort of playable mockup to convey more of what we're going for.

We will make the playable mockups available as Experimental Builds soon!

We handed everything off to Fabian so he can flesh it out when he has time and then repeated the same process for the cisterns, although we haven't quite finished that yet. We'll work more on that after the upcoming build because I wanted to shift gears back to working on animations that would actually make it into the build.

For the rest of the time I just continued working on the upcoming animation!

You might have noticed that I am currently posting only every other week. Multiple people have told me that they stopped reading the roundups because they felt the updates are too frequent.

So I thought about experimenting with a bi-weekly post schedule and putting more frequent updates on Twitter and our Discord.

Let me know how you like that change!
